Panera Bread is making some of its biggest menu additions in years just in time for the summer.
The fast-casual chain launched its summer 2026 menu on Wednesday, June 17. The refreshed options include the all-new Market Bowls, along with premium salads, cold coffee drinks, and protein-packed breakfast items.
Market Bowls start at $9.99 and are available in whole or half portions. Options include Sesame Ginger Chicken, Carnitas Elote, and All-In Veggie.

A stolen stack of LEGO sets sparked a wild I-95 chase that ended with a suspect running through traffic, bolting into the woods, and getting hauled out by a police dog, according to police in Virginia.
Richmond resident Stephon Davis, 29, and Mechanicsville resident Jayden Ballard, 21, led multiple police agencies on a wild chase following a botched robbery in Fredericksburg.

A day at the beach turned deadly along a stretch of coastline known for sudden danger.
Mahial Sran, 20, and Harshita Nair, 21, died after being swept into the Pacific Ocean in Santa Cruz County, California, according to NBC Bay Area.
The two women were from Fremont, California, and had graduated from the same high school together in 2023, SFGATE reported.
Sran was studying public health at San Jose State University. Nair was a legal studies student at the University of California, Berkeley, according to their LinkedIn bios.

A 23-year-old Delaware man was arrested in Philadelphia after police say a shooting at Wilmington Hospital left one 19-year-old dead and another critically injured.
John Wallace-Bey, of New Castle, DE, was taken into custody Tuesday night, June 16, in Philadelphia and is awaiting extradition to Delaware, Wilmington Police announced.
Wallace-Bey has been charged with first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and carrying a concealed deadly weapon, police said.

Virginia’s long-stalled legal marijuana market may finally be ready to light up.
Gov. Abigail Spanberger, Sen. Lashrecse Aird, and Del. Paul Krizek announced a new agreement on Tuesday, June 16, that would create a legal, regulated adult-use retail cannabis market in Virginia, with sales set to begin on July 1, 2027.
